A massage focused on warming and moving lymph to help aid your body in a supportive toxin release. Hot stones, cupping, gua sha, and tuning forks are used in the healing process. Massage oil is a unique blend of herbs to aid in the treatment. Tea blends and infrared are available after the massage to help the body in toxin elimination.
Hot Stones ~ A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.
Cupping ~ This suction creates a negative pressure environment allowing for myofascial decompression as the skin is drawn into the cups. While massage therapy uses direct pressure to release tension, cupping uses negative pressure to lift the muscle fibers and increase blood flow to the area. Several purported benefits of cupping include reduced pain, muscle tightness and inflammation, improved blood flow (circulation), and increased range of motion.
Gua Sha ~ A healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine that uses a crystal gemstone to apply pressure and move the skin to relieve pain and tension. It also clears stagnation and accumulation, promotes lymphatic drainage and cell renewal, renews facial contour, firm and lifts sagging skin, reduces inflammation and puffiness, diminishes blemishes, and relieves tension.
Herbal infusion warm oil ~ Each client will have a unique blend of plant medicine infused into each oil. Each blend will have essential oils added to add to each person’s needs.
Infrared ~ Supports detoxification, anti-inflammatory, relaxation, immunity, muscle recovery & overall vitality. Sunlighten’s highly efficient, SoloCarbon infrared heating technology gives you the best detoxification experience because it is clinically proven to raise core body temperature by three degrees. You experience a deep, productive sweat from your cells as the SoloCarbon infrared waves penetrate your skin and heat your core to expel the toxins, rather than just sitting in hot, ambient air that only heats your outer skin.
This creates an enjoyable experience of more productive sweat, rather than an uncomfortable, stifling hot and less-productive sweat. Research shows specific light frequencies have specific activity. NIR has the perfect wavelength (880 nm) to penetrate skin best. When NIR is applied to the skin, fibroblast cells absorb light activity, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Over time, those increases create thicker, younger-looking skin, decrease lines, fade scars, and promote skin renewal, cell health, and tissue growth.
