About Poppy and Someday

Poppy & Someday welcomes two new practitioners at our Traverse City Boutique Spa!
Anna moved to the shores of Northern Michigan in the summer of 2024, after many years living and working in New Orleans. She is a Reiki Master in the Usui Holy Fire III lineage and has found this practice to be deeply transformative. Anna is also a Clinical Psychologist, certified Yoga teacher (RYT 200), and a student of dreams, symbols, and archetypes. She loves spending as much time in nature as possible and is delighted to call the forests and the Great Lakes of Michigan home.
Anna offers Reiki at Poppy & Someday on Sundays only, book here.
Grounded in years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Katy blends a wide range of modalities and her own intuitive approach to connect clients back to their natural state of well-being. She facilitates healing through the practices of Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Oncology Massage, and Pre- and Post-natal Massage. She also uses a vacu-cupping technique for dissolving scar tissue and cellulite, improving lymphatic flow, and decreasing inflammation.
Graduating from The Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1996, Katy began her lifelong quest for knowledge and understanding of the body’s innate wisdom. Her passion to help people has always been her compass, committed to the belief that if everyone received the therapeutic touch, the world would be a more peaceful place, as it supports a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Massage sessions are carefully customized to work toward her clients’ individual goals.
Katy grew up on the Old Mission Peninsula. Learning Yoga and mindful breath-work from her mom at a young age, holistic healing has always been a way of life. She is a Nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist, has a 200-hour YTT from Frog Lotus Yoga, certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage with PESI. Katy is the owner of Halcyon Massage, LLC. Halcyon means peaceful; tranquility, calm. This is the essence of her massage practice. She and her husband-also a Michigan native-moved back to Traverse City, 6 years ago, to be near family and raise their son on the fresh water shores and wondrous woods of Northern Michigan. They enjoy family bike rides and beach days, lifting weights, skiing, music, travel, and just being together, watching funny movies.
