Bio…
Shiva Rose, a decade ago, I began my holistic, wellness site The Local Rose in order to connect to the earth and all its beauty. This desire led me on a journey that included solitary walks in forests, swimming in clean seas, and meditation through Kundalini yoga practice. What came one day in meditation after a rather intense period in my life was a message. The message was to bring beauty and luminosity to women in a way that was nourishing and nurturing.
Jaclyn, designer of the conscious botanically dyed clothing AWAVEAWAKE is also a long time Kundalini Yogi who alongside her work to elevate the fashion industry through natural dyes went deep into her personal studies with feminine embodiment, a subtle message encoded in her clothing creations. She is launching a compilation of her life’s work as Dreaming Life Awake, an integration of two decades of experience in yoga, various healing modalities and wellness practices. Over the several years she has gone deeper with the plant properties of the dye plants and using the principles of the feminine form Ayurveda that she studied to work with clients to find their authentic true beauty through health and actualization. She felt there was an aspect of soul and psyche that needed further exploration to integrated with her Ayurvedic work. She completed another year long study in the works of Carl Jung focusing on the feminine psychology that both he and his disciples shared with us.
