Chaparral in the desert rain

Driving through the southwest desert in the rain, I was calmed by the intoxicating smell that filled my car.  Chaparral Larrea tridentata.  This medicinal plant has beautiful bright yellow flowers and its leaves are covered in sweet resins.  Used for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.  This great medicine helps fight off colds and flu symptoms.  Topically, used to heal burns, eczema, wounds, and other skin diseases.   We stopped off at a nearby exit and drove until we were surrounded by the desert for miles.  There is where Stefani, La Tierra Sagrada, and I harvested this magical plant.  We are infusing Chaparral in oil to make medicinal salves to sell at Spirit Weavers gathering and Mercado Segrado this May.
